As the times evolved, the band hardened their sound, shortening their name to Mushroom. By 1970, Mushroom became Lady, incorporating prog-rock influences and instruments like flute to their hard-pych organ/guitar dominated sound, drawing inspiration from bands like Jethro Tull, Steamhammer, Gypsy or Bloodrock. In 1971 the band recorded a few studio demos at Village Recorders in Los Angeles, which are presented here in top sound quality along with a couple of raw, lo-fi but killer live tracks from the same year.
