Guitarist and singer Joey Molland left Badfinger in late 1974 due to disagreements with the band's management. In 1975, he and drummer Jerry Shirley (Humble Pie) formed Natural Gas. The band released the Natural Gas LP on Private Stock Records in 1976, and toured with Peter Frampton in 1977. But at the end of the year, due to poor management, they were disbanded.
