Textbook in PDF format
Create simple animations that can be used on websites or in presentations using Adobe Animate. If you are a graphic artist, and not a professional animator, the idea of creating animations may sound appealing; you may feel overwhelmed as to where to start or how you can use your past knowledge of other Adobe design applications, such as Photoshop or Illustrator, to assist you in completing your goals.
In this book we will start by looking at an overview of Animate. You will create and review some projects and use various assets that you created or are created by Adobe to make some basic animation sequences that you can use for your next project. We will also look at how we can edit movements, which may include the representation of speed, rotation, human walking, and animal movement as well as speech, to make the action in the scene appear more fluid. You will also see how to incorporate sound/audio. Finally, you will publish the completed animation in a variety of formats.
Readers will appreciate how they can quickly turn their imported Illustrated vector drawings or background graphics into a short animation that they can use in their next project.
Here is an overview of what this book will be focusing on:
Chapter 1: Review a brief history of animation and discover how to navigate the Animate Workspace.
Chapters 2 and 3: Work with tools in the Tools panel for the purposes of drawing, editing, and enhancing your artwork.
Chapter 4: Learn how to add your artwork, which may have originated in Photoshop or Illustrator, to the Animate Canvas or Stage.
Chapter 5: Begin the process of animation using the Timeline panel, working with layers and frames.
Chapters 6 and 7: Learn how to add motion to your symbols on Stage or Canvas using the Timeline panel and animation tweens within the frames.
Chapter 8: Work with motion presets to edit and adjust the motion of a symbol. Then, using the Camera Tool and Layer Depth panel, you will explore various options to enhance the movement in the animation.
Chapters 9 and 10: Work with advanced features and tools to add other kinds of motions such as a walk cycle with layers and rig maps or lip-syncing face reactions on a character to match audio.
Chapter 11: Add background audio and sounds or voices to your animation.
Chapter 12: Publish your animation in various file formats, which will depend on the final destination for your project.
You Will:
Discover which applications to use for creating your assets
Find out how to use basic and some advanced tools in Animate
Learn to publish your animations in the correct format for your own projects
