A year later they moved to Arlington, changed their name to “The English Setters” and released three 45s. By the summer of 1967 they changed their name again, finally becoming “Cherry People”. They regularly played in nightclubs and on school dance floors. After a trip to New York, the group managed to sign a contract with the label “Heritage Records” and throughout the fall of 1967 they recorded an album, which was released in May 1968. And although the group officially broke up in 1975, they were never able to repeat the success of their early years. Guitarist “Punky” Meadows achieved success in the mid-70s with the hard rock group “Angel”. In 2005, the Grimes brothers reformed Cherry People
