Their debut single, On The Highway, was released in May on Rebel Records. In October, they shortened their name to Carson to avoid confusion with a country band. They released their debut studio album, Blown, on EMI and Harvest Records in November 1972 (#14 on the Go-Set Top 20). A second album, On The Air (a live performance at the second Sunbury Pop Festival in late January 1973), appeared in April, but the band had already broken up.
