Plot
Jacq Vaucan, an insurance agent of ROC robotics corporation, routinely investigates the
case of manipulating a robot. What he discovers will have profound consequences for the
future of humanity.
Trama
In un futuro prossimo, il pianeta Terra è al centro di una progressiva desertificazione e
la razza umana è in piena lotta per la sopravvivenza. Per combattere l'incertezza e la
paura, la tecnologia ha creato il primo androide quantistico, l'Automata Pilgrim 7000,
destinato a convivere con l'uomo. Ciò ha portato alla crescita esponenziale della ROC, la
società leader nel campo dell'intelligenza robotica che ha stabilito protocolli di
sicurezza utili a garantire sempre il controllo dell'uomo sulle macchine. Come agente
assicurativo per conto della ROC, Jacq Vaucan (Antonio Banderas) ha il compito di indagare
sui modelli difettosi di androide ma ben presto scoprirà i segreti e le vere intenzioni
che si celano dietro l'Automata Pilgrim 7000 con profonde conseguenze sul futuro
dell'umanità.
