An intense 80-minute tour de force about two brothers, Tim and Frank, who commit a robbery to get money for their dying mother to continue her medical treatment in Germany after the Danish health-care system abandons her. But the robbery goes wrong and the police arrive, preventing the two brothers from using their planned getaway car. Instead they steal an ambulance, but they discover during their escape from the police that a dying heart patient and Julie, a hospital intern, are in the back of the vehicle. Julie tells the two brothers that the patient will die if they don't turn around immediately and go back to the hospital. This puts the two brothers against each other. Suddenly they face the dilemma of their lives: do they save the patient or their own mother?
